On the way to this session I listened to Glennon Doyle’s podcast about fun and how many women don’t know how to have fun because they are conditioned early on to care more about how they appear when they are doing a thing than how that thing makes them feel.

I got to photograph Coco's first birthday party, and now she's a big sister to a healthy baby boy! I love how intimate and relaxed families are in their homes. The photos are honest in a way that is difficult to duplicate on location, and they are rooted in a place that matters. Sending so much love and congratulations to this family of four!

We met online a few years ago, back when Teo was a toddler. She is one of the most inspiring people I know. You know the kind of people you just get, and they get you? And you stay up way too late talking because you have so much to tell one another? Those friendships are rare and valuable and worth nurturing.
