It’s that time of year again where I make up for all the blogging I didn’t do throughout the year. :) So grateful for this work. What an honor and a joy it is to meet such beautiful people and immerse myself in their love. This is what I want to shoot more of: people loving each other well. Next year I want to make more space for motherhood photography and will definitely be having a pop-up, likely in February. 2022 was a record breaking year for me. I shot more weddings, had more clients, and made more money than any year since starting by business in 2013. It was also the year I took the fewest personal photos. When I don’t have the energy to photograph my own family, then the balance is off and I need to work less. Setting and maintaining boundaries around my time and saying “no” to work that doesn’t light my fire is the only way to sustain the flame of creativity.

Highlights: We enjoyed a beautiful trip to Sayulita to celebrate our dear friends. We adopted our kitten, Explorro! He is perfection and brings us so much joy and cuddles. Ella started Transitional Kindergarten and joined a beautiful school community. Lots more soccer!

Looking forward to growing our spring garden, traveling to Europe this summer, and capturing more love. I’m so happy to be exactly where I am.
